A Fun Yet Relaxing Day in Phu Quoc
RetiredAndRoaming
After retiring last year, I set out to travel more and reconnect with life’s simple pleasures. This tour gave me a full day of those pleasures and then some. I joined with a group of retirees and some younger travelers, and it turned out to be a wonderful mix.
The staff made us feel safe and welcome from the very beginning. I opted to stay on the boat while others snorkeled at Gam Ghi Island, and I still got to see the beauty of the reefs from the surface. The water was that clear.
When we reached May Rut Trong, I walked along the shore, sat in shaded chairs, and watched paddleboarders and children playing in the waves. It reminded me of beach days from my youth. Dinner was plentiful and healthy, with options I could enjoy without worry.
The fire show in the evening was a surprising delight. I didn’t think I’d enjoy that part as much as I did, but it was mesmerizing. Everyone gathered quietly, united by the flames and music, even though we all came from different parts of the world.
Asia Travel Links arranged everything for me. They made sure I understood the itinerary and felt supported every step of the way.
I’d recommend this tour to any senior who wants adventure without stress. It’s an experience that brings out the childlike wonder in you, no matter your age.
A Memory We’ll Never Forget
NomadicSisters
My sister and I were backpacking through Vietnam when we stumbled upon this tour online. We thought it would be a fun way to break up the usual temple-and-market circuit, but it became one of the top moments of our whole trip.
From the start, we were impressed with the flow. No confusion, no waiting around. We were picked up from our hostel, and within an hour we were sailing through turquoise waters with music playing and people smiling. The snorkeling blew us away - Gam Ghi Island was alive with marine color.
On May Rut Trong Island, we grabbed a kayak and paddled out together, then lazed in hammocks with fresh fruit. We met other travelers from Europe and Asia and had deep conversations under palm trees. Dinner was beautifully arranged on the beach. We ate grilled clams and sweet potatoes as the sky turned from gold to navy.
And then the fire show - honestly, the best we’ve ever seen. Performers with blazing torches, music echoing through the night, and the whole crowd silent with awe.
We used Asia Travel Links for the booking, and they nailed every detail. They even gave us recommendations for other budget-friendly day trips.
This was more than a tour. It was a day of sisterhood, joy, and living fully. Book it if you can.
A Peaceful Escape That Surprised Me
QuietSoul
I’m not the typical party-goer, so I was hesitant about joining a "boat party." But after a friend convinced me and I read more about the Island BBQ Buffet Tour, I decided to give it a try. I’m so glad I did. It was the kind of adventure that sneaks into your heart and stays.
The boat had energy, yes - DJs, fun music, and dancing - but also calm corners to watch the waves and just be. The staff were friendly without being pushy, and the guests respectful and diverse. At Gam Ghi Island, I sat on the boat deck watching others snorkel, feeling grateful just to be surrounded by nature.
May Rut Trong Island was a sanctuary. I took a kayak out by myself, floated in silence, then returned to share a fresh coconut with a couple from Korea. The food was wonderful - nothing too heavy, just good grilled seafood, vegetables, and fruit.
By the time the fire show started, I had completely melted into the moment. The flickering flames, soft music, and ocean air created something unexpectedly soulful.
I booked through Asia Travel Links, who were incredibly responsive and kind. They even followed up after the tour to ask for feedback.
If you’re like me - not looking for a wild party, but a curated day of joy and peace - give this tour a chance. You’ll come away with more than just photos.
